Day 23

Spent the day relaxing with this little guy, watching re-runs of Sex & The City on my laptop.  Very much needed lazy Sunday.

Day 22

I found this great table & cocktail glasses at a thrift store around the corner.  Thought it would be easy to drag the table back to my apartment 3 blocks on a dolly... wasn't too bad until I got home and realized the table wouldn't fit through my front door.  Good thing I know how to use a wrench and screwdriver.

Day 21

Where I am now writing this post... although my iPhone has been great for basic communication, I wanted to get out of my apartment and have real Internet access.  Since I won't have Internet or cable until next Saturday, I found Gregory's Coffee which is near my apartment and has free wi-fi.  I imagine I'll be here a lot over the next week. 

Day 20

After waiting all day, my first round of boxes were delivered by UPS at 8 p.m.  I tore them open like a little girl on Christmas and this mess ensued...

Moving day! My little kitty was such a trooper through the long travel day and three hour delay of our second flight.

Haven't been to a pool party in about 15 years... had the best time ever with high school friends! Happy Memorial Day!

Goodbye, home of the last three years.

Went to a wedding with a best friend of mine.  Didn't know the couple, but still had a great time!  The ceremony was at the Chapel on campus and was so beautiful.

Walked outside to see this on my house this morning, I never knew there were moths this color!

My last day working at the bar.  Thanks, Lansdowne, for the good times & money towards my NYC fund.  I miss bartending already...

Hands down, the most ridiculous thing I've ever seen my cat do, and that's saying a lot because he's pretty much insane. He jumped about four feet from a stack of boxes up onto the top of my door. Before this, he was straddled across the door he's on now and the one to his right (my closet). I was laughing too hard at that point to snap a picture.

Day 10

Lunch at the Globe... amazing food, not so amazing saying goodbye to one of the best friends I've made in college.

Rainy, lazy day. Exactly what I needed after a stressful couple of weeks.

Day 8

After four years of living in Georgia, I finally went to my first Braves game! Too bad we lost 0-12...

Day 7

Signing my life away... lease and all the other paperwork I had to fill out to make it official.

Day 6

Headed home to Athens from the airport... last time I'll be driving through Atlanta for awhile.

Day 5

Four separate certified checks later... I've officially made my deposit on my NYC apartment!  Lease starts May 27th, the countdown is on.

Day 4

Out to dinner with mom, aunt and cousins. Celebratory champagne in honor of choosing an apartment.

Day 3

Day #1 of Apartment Hunt.  This was the first apartment we viewed, and actually my favorite of the day. It's a cozy (read: teeny tiny), pre-war studio in the East Village.  

Day 2

After spending the day recovering from graduation festivities, I got dressed up and went to campus to take pictures at my favorite places on campus.  I loved this one the most, in front of Sanford Stadium. GO DAWGS!

New Project

I'm about to start the crazy adventure of life after college.  A year from now, I have no idea what I'll be doing and I couldn't be more excited about it! The first year after graduation will surely be filled with exciting milestones and accomplishments, and I want to be able to document that.  

Starting yesterday, the day of graduation, I will post a picture every day for the next year that has some significance of what that day represented to me.  Of course yesterday was too hectic to post any so I'm already starting off by cheating, but from now on I will post my pictures daily.  This project was inspired by a friend and classmate of mine who did something similar (the year leading up to graduation) and I thought it was the coolest idea so I wanted to try it.  So here goes...
