Exciting purchase of the weekend #2: used Ikea dresser. Nice to have my clothes in drawers instead of piled around my apartment.

Saw this while running in Greenwich Village... I remember seeing it last summer but didn't realize it was a permanent display.  Love the support, especially coming from kids - so sweet.

I don't know why but I thought this was really funny... I went to get a bottle of wine and this was taped to the register at the liquor store. Does it really happen that frequently that they actually had to make a sign warning people to keep their dogs off the counter? Isn't that common courtesy?

My diplomas finally came in the mail!

My cat will fall asleep anywhere, ie: halfway inside my purse. This is why he wakes me up every morning at 5 a.m... he spends the whole day sleeping.

Reason #25987 why I love NYC: Nobody moves their furniture to their next apartment, they leave it on the street for trash pickup... which is how I acquired my new nightstand/bookshelf. Put a few coats of dark brown paint on it and here's the result!

Day 36

Random adventure of the week: met a friend at Big Apple Barbeque in Madison Square Park, wandered around for awhile, made friends with people in line, collectively decided lines were wayyyy too long but we still wanted barbeque so we went to Hill Country... everyone else and their mom apparently had the same idea as us so the wait was over an hour and we gave up. I guess we weren't meant to eat barbeque today.

Day 35

Cookies mom sent... I think she will still be sending me care packages when I'm 40, and I'm okay with that.

Day 34

Braving the rain to go out and "watch" the Lakers/Magic game.  I use the word "watch" loosely since I think I only paid attention once it was in overtime. Good hanging out with another UGA/Grady person finally!

Dug out all my old Coors Light gear since I'll be working for them again... I'm not going to lie, I kind of love this shirt.

Opted to stay home and watch silly reality shows on my tiny TV (that will one day not have to sit on the floor... as soon as I buy a dresser) rather than go watch the NBA Finals. I'm such a girl.

The "Congratulations on Your New Home" card my parents sent me... they are so adorable.

Had a great day laying out & hanging with Stacey at Central Park... also got my work out for the week with an hour walk each way!

First time at Trader Joe's... I'm obsessed.  Who knew a grocery store could be cool?  So glad it's seven blocks from my apartment, I'll be going there every weekend.

Icky rainy day, what a miserable walk to work.  Oh well, at least it was a half day so I got to go home and relax earlier than usual.

Highlight of the day: fetching cupcakes from "Cupcake Stop" in Union Square for an office celebration.  Coolest idea ever, it's like an ice cream truck but with cupcakes, and they were delicious!

Day 26

Second day of the internship and I'm already retiring the heels.  Walking 15 blocks in these things isn't as fun as I thought it would be.  Good thing I'm tall, I'm wearing flats for the rest of the summer.

First day of my internship! I really wanted to have a picture from the office, but didn't want to be that girl taking pictures of everything on my first day.  So this is from after work, I got to meet up with a friend I hadn't seen in almost a year.
